For complex systems, one story does not make all other stories false. Similarly, for complex decisions, there isn’t one right decision that makes all other choices wrong.

One instance of how I see people constantly get this wrong is when faced with what looks to them like a binary option or a singular opportunity, and keep asking 'is this the best thing I can do?' when the question 'what are my other options and how do they compare (including delaying a decision or not making any 'changes')?'

Good point. Comparing options is recognizing complexity, which is what my blog is about.
